Last two weeks have been crazy, so busy that I had to push back a blog… Waking up at 6am for work since I’ve been on the west coast was a bit challenging, but regardless, work has been going well.
Dance
I took a Intro to Grooving Class at PopRox Dance Studio in Seattle with my friend and it was super fun! The instructor made it super engaging! She had us do mini cyphers in a group of 3 and it was cool to freestyle with the steps she taught us (party machine and some other one I can’t remember the name of…)
Travel
I caught up and met so many of my friends from my internship last summer and my high school friends. I did so much I’m gonna split this section up haha.
Los Angeles, CA
I met up with my high school friends for one of their birthday party! It was super fun in Hollywood and I got to catch up a little bit. I also met a few of my summer internship friends from Seattle in LA for the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finale! I also got to meet Kirsten Dodgen and got a picture with her :0
I also stayed with family and just had good food everyday I was there 🙂
Seattle, WA
I flew to Seattle from Los Angeles with the friends I met during the Red Bull Dance Your Style event. I had lots of boba, hojicha, and more good food. I also met up with my college friend and cooked up some delicious curry at her place and also went out to eat Pho with another friend which was really delicious! While I was there, my friend, the one I was staying with, introduced me to a Thai drama. The drama was so interesting and fun! I recommend 🙂 It’s called Petrichor.
Unfortunately, I got sick towards the end of my trip due to minor jetlag, extreme temperature differences, and just being exposed to a decent amount of sick people on the trip. It was like 70 degrees in Boston before I left to Los Angeles, which was near 80 degrees and then low 50s in Seattle so yeah…
Tutoring
Tutoring has been my downer for the week… Having a difficult student, in terms of behavior is not easy, especially when tutoring online, but I can’t give up on the student, so I’ll have to persevere and try to finish the semester strong. Still got a while though 😉
Concert
I went to see STAYC in Boston! It was so fun and as a Swith since their predebut days on a Youtube Original series, it was so cool seeing how far they’ve come. Also, I didn’t really have a bias in STAYC, but Yoon was sooo hilarious during the concert, I couldn’t stop giggling at her sense of humor.
Next week, I’ll be attending a cool dance workshop from a Kpop Choreographer and recovering from my cold! Stay tuned!
