Classes/Courses:
Business Classes:
- Strategic Management: We finished 1st in the simulation! I am so proud of our team and give a special shoutout to team Pineapple! I truly appreciated the diverse insights from class about the key takeaways from class. This is one of the classes I will never forget!
- Cloud Computing for Business: I did excellent on my final exam!! I feel ready to take my first AWS Certificate!
There was a team project our team had to do related to Tech Consulting. Based on my experience with it, I’m not sure if I see myself in Tech Consulting, but I definitely love Cloud Computing.
Computer Science Classes:
- Computer Science Projects: Our website is running! (locally…) but despite the several challenges, we have some sort of working website now! I can’t wait to see how next year’s JM eboard will utilize the website!
Writing Classes:
- Computing Ethics: I finished my last paper (so I thought… there’s one more 😦 ) and a video essay about how AI should not make decisions about healthcare claims. I unfortunately cannot release the video due to academic integrity policy, but I had so much fun editing the video!
- Women and Gender Studies: I completed the final presentation for this course! Our team proposed a campus change proposal to include more non-binary/LGBTQ students in student club leadership.
Career/Professional Development
- I wrapped up tutoring with Ignite Fellowship w/ Teach for America. I will continue tutoring throughout my full-time job. I love seeing the impact I am making in the students!
- I hope to complete two AWS Certificate exams before I start my job! Should I write about it? (Like below if you want to see a blog about it!)
So how am I de-stressing?
- Spending time with friends before I graduate! A lot of us are scattering across the US, so just making the most out of our last weeks here.
- Reading! I’m currently reading Atomic Habits by James Clear. I will post more about the book in my subcategory for book reflections soon so look forward to it!
- In the meantime, why not check it out for yourself? Purchase the book here: https://amzn.to/4jPL5ol (I earn a small commission if you buy it with this link, and the price of the book should still be the same as a non-affiliate link)
What are my next steps?
Here are some things I am looking forward to in 2025!
- JM: It’ll be my last semester in the dance club so I’m looking forward to the performances and dance covers.
- Day-trip traveling to a few places to see some friends.
- Taking two AWS Certificate Exams before I start my new job.
- Trying out some side hustles~ (If you haven’t noticed, the Amazon Affiliate Program is one I’m trying out!)
- Graduating, starting a new job, and moving to a new city!!
College is basically over!
Look forward to my future blog subtopics: Book Reflections, Day in a life of a software engineer, Side-quests/Hobbies, and more!
