February is short so I waited a bit longer to write this one.

Classes/Courses:
Business Classes:
- Strategic Management: This course is a business capstone. I was grateful to be appointed as CEO for my team and I can say that our team has a great dynamic and our Q4 results showed exactly that. We came in first for the simulation!
- Cloud Computing for Business: This course covers Cloud Computing, focusing on AWS. I’ve always been interested in Cloud Computing but never knew enough to know if I wanted to pursue it professionally. I still don’t fully know yet, but I can say I really love this course. So far, we covered Networking, Security, and the Global Infrastructure. We had a few quizzes and have a midterm coming up so that’ll be interesting…
Computer Science Classes:
- Computer Science Projects: This course is a less structured course. My partner and I work on a personal project during this time and receive course credit for it. We’re still in the pre-planning stage of the project with project artifacts, but hopefully, we can start coding in a few weeks.
Writing Classes:
- Computing Ethics: This course is not really a programming course, it’s actually a writing course. I’ve written my first position paper critiquing the Social Dilemma (on Netflix). I enjoyed watching and writing about the movie. I hope to put up some of my writing on my website if I do well in the course.
- Women and Gender Studies: I’m taking this course as my Social Science elective. The professor is great and the workload for this class is relatively light. We’ve covered gender, sexuality, and feminism/patriarchy so far and it’s been great connecting with other students in the class.
Career/Professional Development
- I’m tutoring 5th grade reading through Teach for America Ignite Fellowship program. Since they were on winter break, I’ve only tutored one week so far. The students are engaged and I forgot how much I liked tutoring/teaching students even if the early morning schedule is physically more demanding…
- I attended my first pre-hire event with Liberty Mutual Insurance!! It was cool seeing new interns and also one of my previous co-workers from my internship last summer! There’s another one in March, so I’m looking forward to it!
- I was invited to an all expenses paid trip to Goldman Sachs HQ in April so I’m looking forward to that as well!
So how am I de-stressing?
- Dance and Sleep are still my main de-stressers so that hasn’t changed. I joined a new dance team: Helius! Follow them too, on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/helius_official/
- Swimming and Ice Skating: I’m alternating between ice skating and swimming every week!
- Working on my spiritual health so I’m mentally/physically more prepared for full-time work in a few months!
- Hanging out with friends every weekend!
What are my next steps?
Here are some things I am looking forward to in 2025!
- CSE 217: Computer Science Projects: I’ve always wanted to start a computer science project but rarely had time to do so with my rigorous work and school schedule. This semester, that self-paced project will be part of a course!
- JM: It’ll be my last semester in the dance club so I’m looking forward to the performances and dance covers.
- Graduating, starting a new job, and moving to a new city!!
Six months down, 3 more to go. Since spring break is in March, month 7 is going to fly-by! Look forward to my update for month 7 out of 9!
