Month 2 marked complete at Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Tech Start SWE Intern! This past month was filled with wonderful experiences and challenges.

Here are a few highlights from my experience for month 2:

🧠 Understanding Jest Unit Testing and Mocks: Ensuring our code that runs with AWS can be tested without calling APIs.

🙌 Completing our Software Development Kit: Our project is in production for internal use!

👥 Liberty Intern Summit! : Had the opportunity to fly to Boston and hear from our CEO Tim, Lindsey Pollak, Doug from the Liberty commercials, DJ Rich, and several others from the Liberty Mutual Early Talent Team. It was great getting to see my recruiters Emma and Sofia!

😎 Headquarter Tour: Early Talent Team took some interns on a tour inside the Boston office and I can say it’s definitely more bougie than the Seattle office.

👭 Rewriting the Code had some great events like the Boba event that I was able to attend, and it was always great to see so many Liberty interns in RTC!

🛫 FTO as an Intern: Taking some FTO (Flexible Time Off) for vacation as an intern was a very nice benefit during the July 4th weekend.
